IRE/NICAR – I’ve done a considerable amount of professional development at the computer-assisted reporting conferences put on annually by IRE/NICAR. Among the tools I’ve learned to use regularly in my work are ArcGIS, SQL databases, spreadsheets, regex, Django/Python.

University of St. Thomas Minneapolis, MN – Completed a course in management leadership.

William Mitchell College of Law St. Paul, MN – Completed one year of law school. Left to pursue journalism career.
